TURNING
Roy Davies

At times when you’re down

At the end of the day

When your dreams are broken and burning

Remember the light

At the end of the night

While this old world keeps on turning

Turning, turning

Night time to day time

Time and again

Turning, turning

Winters to summers

Strangers to friends

Whoever we are

We are all much the same

Dreamers and schemers

Lost in the game

But you know that the sun

Always follows the rain

While this old world keeps on turning

Turning ….

Whatever our colour

Whatever our creed

We each build a shelter

Each plant the seed

And you know she’ll provide All the things that we need

While this old world keeps on turning
